Evolve it into Salamence. It also has great offensive stats, which will help you put the hurt on any opponent you face. It also has a couple of really useful Special Abilities - Moxie and Shed Skin which can allow it to heal its own status problems. So go for it! I already wrote about why starters matter , so at least consider bringing along Oshawott , Snivy or Tepig in other words, Samurott, Serperior or Emboar for the long run.

He really can't take a hit, but if illusion copies a pokemon that is weak to all of zoros resistances, that could give you a chance to nasty plot and sweep a team. Gengar is the best pokemon to do this with, although I've been using chandelure as a less effective replacement.
